More summer fun!

It's been an amazing summer.  Although COVID is starting to pick up again, you guys are having a blast.  This year, you did two weeks of sailing class and graduated to the next level!

Pick up time

Also, you continue to swim at Foss (Big 5).  You are a total fish and very interested in competitive swimming. I will check out options on swimming at your age :)

Fun with the Wares

Pool time

Meibo and Shea came over for a long weekend.  We made tie dye shirts and towels, we on the lake and had a ton of fun in the hot and humid sun.

And more screen time

And more screen time

Summer is straight out fun in the Berger household.  We've been enjoying movies and popcorn at night, sleeping in, park hopping and ... screen time!  Now that you and Bradley are older, you guys actually fight! It's not often but it just started this year.  You are also very eloquent, always finding the right things to say in expressing your thoughts.

We are also seeing the competitive edge come out of you!  In swimming, you are the fastest swimmer in your class. For soccer, you made the competitive team next season too.  You are also a really kind person.  I see how you interact with other kids and adults.  You are helpful, nice and sharing.  You also help out the smaller kids, very polite and sweet.  Your sense of humor is so funny, kind of dry and sarcastic.  I'm beginning to see big kid Ben and what's in store for the future.  Thank you for being a wonderful, smart, kind and funny kid, brother, friend and son.  I love you!!

Our new family members

MOA fun

On your brother's birthday, we had two new additions to the family - Chipmunk and Cocoa.  Unfortunately, Cocoa took a turn for the worse in July and passed away.  When Meibo came, we made him a tombstone but it was still very sad.  As guinea pigs are very social, we went back to the Humane Society and picked up two more guinea pigs; Cookie and White Cocoa.

Plenty of deer, turkeys, and wildlife in our backyard

Loving camp!  First up - Camp Christmas Tree

More screen time

Dinner after soccer practice

Chipmunk meets White Cocoa!

Cookie - he is a cuddle bug, you fav

In addition to guinea pigs and fun at the mall, you love Camp Christmas Tree, Tennis was meh, love sailing camp and will wrap up August with a babysitter :) :) Love you Beni!

Start of summer!

There is nothing more than a baseball game to start summer! We scored some last minute tickets to enjoy a Twins game against the Yankees.  The weather was hot, the soda was cold and the seats were awesome.  We had a super fun time.

Popcorn, hot dogs, dippin dots, soda and fries.  What a great time!!

3rd times a charm

Ok, you just wrapped up 4th grade so Class of 2029!!!

Beni Berger, I love you so much.  I know I always say this but you are one super duper awesome kiddo.  I am so happy to be your momma :) :) You make my heart happy.

Bradley's 7th

Summer fun has officially started!  Although the water is cold, we have no problem running through the splash pad.  This must have been a favorite of Ashley's as you guys call it Ashley's park (Round Lake)

Silly faces

Cold? no problem!!

There’s always time for screen time lol

On June 2nd, your brother turned seven!!
Right on his birthday, he took a trip to the humane society and picked up two guinea pigs.  He’s been asking for guinea pigs for a long time. Bradley is a animal lover.  He wants a horse, dog, cat, bunny and guinea pigs.  He really wants us to be a family full of animals.  I thought we would just start with the guinea pigs.

Over the weekend, we had a birthday party for Bradley.  We rented the game truck and invited his friends Oscar, Adam, Milo, Neesha and all the neighbor friends.  It was a blast!!  We also had Among Us pizza and two beyblade cakes.  Everyone had a ton of fun.  We are so excited to celebrate his big day.  And with the pandemic, this is our first real birthday party 😀😀

Memorial Day

And our tradition is back!  We all had to take a hiatus last year but we are all back.  This year, Lake Carlos was booked again but no worries, we tried out Crow Wing State Park, up by Brainerd.  Our usual packing was in place - the 8 person tent, two air mattresses, an air pump, two rugs, solar lights and stuffies galore.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous - 70's and low 80's, light on mosquitos and heavy on fun!  There was a lot of rock skipping and your brother caught some crawfish.  Also, you really got into the kids beanbag tournament this year.  In the past, mama and baba always won the horses butt by finishing last.  But this year, we lost the race for the bottom!  However, you and Emerson won the kids tournament again Elsa and Gretta in a double elimination.  This is the first time I've seen your competitive spirit.  Baba loves it.

Double elimination, you can cut the stress with a knife!! You are growing up so quickly Beni Berger.  I love you to the moon and back.  You are kind, sharing, patient with your brother and always helping other kids.  I see it every time we are out - you help younger kids and always try to find a solution.  You are also the peacemaker.  When kids are making bad choices, you leave the situation and are not influenced.  I hope you continue to stay awesome.  I love you so much.

Hello new home

As sad as it was to say goodbye to Gaywood, we were able to say hello to Knob Hill!  The first thing to move was the playset.  Then the stuffies... which took up 10 boxes and a big part of the guest bedroom!  You got to pick out your room which is the junior suite with a full walk-in closet and bathroom.

You also got to pick out your new bed, new bedding, chair and chair accessories.  You slept in your new bed for about 5 minutes the first night... that's about it. lol

In addition to your own, room, you really like the backyard too!  Plenty of fun and relaxation.

The toy closet.  However, there wasn't enough space for ALL the toys.

Your closet!  Plenty of room for you to grow

We are still trying to figure out where to put all the stuffies.  So far, you are loving the new house.  Occasionally we miss Gaywood but it's mainly for the big basement.
