June 29th, 2011 (Wednesday)
It’s your last week with Ms. Lori b/c she’s on vacation next week. We will all miss her!
She also let us know that you look like you are getting ready for rice cereal. Cool...

Wow – it’s been a busy few weeks for you Benjamin! Right before the holiday weekend, we got a call from Ms Lori because you had a fever of 103. That made Baba and Mama a little nervous. I went to pick you up and brought you home. The next day, Baba stayed at home in the AM and Mama came home in the afternoon because you couldn’t go to school. We went to see Dr Inman and he said it looks like a common virus. Thoughout the weekend, you were pretty sleepy and didn’t eat much. On Sunday, we went out to the Farmer’s Market but it got really hot. So we continued our stroll at the mall where you met Linda, Melissa’s mom. Melissa is one of Mama’s friends. Mama got chocolate samples - yummy!

On Monday, we took a stroll around Lake Calhoun. You loved all the people and pet watching. In addition, Mama watched as you started to chew on your toes all by yourself. Smarty Pants.

The last week at the old daycare went by quickly. One of your friends decided to take your favorite pacifier and Mr Squiggles. So funny – they probably don’t want you to leave. On 7/7/11, we also noticed you sprouted your first tooth! Bottom front.

This past weekend, we decided to start you on solids. A try with rice cereal (Earth’s Best) mixed with milk. You LOVED it. We didn’t think you would take to solids the first time. People usually say babies will play with the spoon and food but not really eat much. Not Benjamin! You ate the entire bowl of rice cereal.

Today is your first day at new daycare… you seemed very inquisitive in meeting your new friends. I think you’ll have a great time with your new friends, you are such a social butterfly. You still have a pretty wicked baby rash and now that you can itch your face, it's getting worse. Boo.

Baba just noticed you have two teeth sprouting out.. you're growing up too quickly for Mama!
LOVE YOU!!
