Vacation!

This past week, we went on vacation and it was a blast! Here is the play by play:

Friday: we arrived at JFK and your grandpa Chang picked us up. He was very excited to see you and we went to dinner in Flushing. Baba was very happy to have dinner at Mulan because it was the first time he had high end Asian cuisine. We had some wonderful orange beef, sable fish, soup, pigeon lettuce wraps and lovely desserts - rose ice cream, fried bananas and chocolate lava cake. You also met your great uncle Carl at the restaurant too! Then, we headed up to Orange to see the Camerato's. You were such a trooper all day but got a little fussy at the end because you were out all day and it was very humid.

Saturday: we drove up to see your Uncle Anthony. It was an awesome day - sunny, not humid, great day to be in Boston. We had lunch at the Summer Shack (lobster, oysters and clams) and then polished it off with cannoli's. The guys and Katrina had dinner at Anthony's pier 4 - another meal of seafood.

Sunday: we attended Anthony's graduation and then celebrated with dim sum in Chinatown. Then, he packed up his dorm stuff and we drove back down to Orange. You were so excited to be with Yipao this week, cuddling, snuggling and sleeping with her. Baba, Anthony, Katrina and I had sushi at Hayama - yum!

Monday: hanging out and going car shopping with Uncle Anthony. Dinner was chicken marsala and bowties.

Tuesday: it started to get hot! You were in your onesie most of the time with the fan on :) We had steak on the barbie for dinner

Wednesday: The guys went up to Worcester to see Uncle Anthony's apartment. Yipao, you and I stayed home and met Great Auntie Mariam. She was very excited to see you!

Thursday: Drove down to Norwalk to check out Stew Leonard's. It was baba's first time and he loved the bakery, fresh meats, seafood and cheeses. Dinner - snail salad, lobster, sweet corn, clams and strawberry chocolate cheesecake, which was VERY yummy.

Friday: Auntie Katrina gets ready for prom! She looked beautiful :) We had another seafood dinner, mussels & scallops alfredo, clams and more dessert.

Saturday: time to go home. We went to Flushing and had a yummy dim sum meal and went to the airport. You and baba enjoyed first class treatment!

It was a wonderful week - you were happy the entire time, slept with Yipao and ate like a champ. Also, you took your own binkie out with your hands once. You loved talking and laughing with your Great Uncle Johnny. Next year, the pool will be open for our visit!! We love you so much beni beaners :)

That's just how I roll!

Hello lil Benja beaners,
Well, well, well, you reached a big milestone on Thursday, May 12th. I was having lunch at work when I got a call from Ms. Lori. It looks like you rolled over... twice! She put you down on your back to go change a diaper and when she looked over, you were on your tummy. Then, she went to change another diaper, put you on your back and saw you roll over. Whoo hoo!

Mommy was so excited she had you on the floor on Saturday to see if you would roll over. Nah... didn't feel like it. You can easily roll over from tummy to back but we haven't seen the back to tummy yet. This video was your attempt to roll over on Saturday. Notice the too small onesie you have on. Mommy thinks you're growing up too quickly and thought it would be funny to put you in your newborn onesie. You're now wearing 3-6 month stuff!

Mother's Day

Yesterday was Mother's Day and we had a wonderful day. First of all, you and Daddy let me sleep in until 10am!!!! If that wasn't the best gift ever, I also got a handmade (well, feetmade) card from you and baba. It was your cute little feet in paint and shaped like a heart.

What else? Well, you decided to start babbling on Saturday, May 7. It usually starts right after you're done with the bottle. You would giggle and babble away, it's so cute! Of course, everything you do is cute in our eyes.

I had the best Mother's day ever and I hope you had fun too little guy :)
Love you LOTS.
Mama

100 days today!

Hello Beni Bear!

Happy 100 days Mr. cuteness. In the Chinese tradition, there is significance on your one hundredth day. A celebration is hosted, friends and family bring fish and chicken to the home. When the chicken is cooked, the tongue is rubbed on the baby's lips to make the child a good talker. The baby's paternal grandfather may present the baby with a rocking chair. Well....we might eat out with fish and chicken since family is out of town. And the whole tongue thing... yeah, no. I'm not even sure how to get hold of a tongue!

Mommy and Daddy just love you more and more each day. You started daycare on April 18th and on day 2, you were all smiles when we dropped you off. You love to spend time with Ms Lorie and check out the bigger kids from the bouncy chair. In the morning, you are such a trooper and all smiles all the time when I wake you up, change you and get you dressed. When you get home from daycare, you usually get a bath, more cuddle time and off to sleep you go.

In the last two nights, you have slept 6 hours straight! Still with Mom or Dad (mostly Dad) but a very good sleeper.

We're getting ready to go see Uncle Anthony and the Camerato's in a few weeks. Uncle Anthony will be graduating and we plan on getting our eat on in Boston!

Happy 100 days lil champ! We LOVE you soooo much :)
