2017 Holidays

Mama is doing a lot of catching up here b/c it's been a while since I posted!  There's a little secret, I keep all my notes and updates on my phone and then come onto the blog to share.  The holiday season was full of fun.

For Thanksgiving, we stayed home and had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner full of stuffing, veggies, ham and sweet potatoes.  We also had a variety of desserts - pumpkin pie and pumpkin cookies!  Right after Thanksgiving, we started to get ready for Christmas.  First, we went to the Optimist Club and picked out a Christmas tree.  This is an annual tradition which both you and Bradley really enjoy.  Then, we would put up all the decorations.  Every year, we also make a homemade ornament.   Afterwards, mama lines up the week and weekends with holiday festivities.

This year, we went on the Excelsior trolley and visited Father Christmas on the trolley!  Both you and Bradley did not want to take a picture with Father Christmas but enjoyed the candy canes.  The weather was wonderful (55 degrees on 11/24) so we headed to the playground after visiting the toy store (Something Safari) to build up the Christmas list.  You added a crossbow nerf shooter and snow ball maker to the list. In the evening, we went to see light up Wayzata where there was a wagon ride, a ton of fire trucks all lit up and we also got to touch reindeer!  The very next day, we went to Tonkadale to take pictures with Santa. We also visited Home Depot where you built a gingerbread house.

For Christmas, we stayed in Minnesota which is the first time we did not travel to Connecticut. Yipao, Uncle Johnny, Meibo, Anthony and Mai Wong all came to stay for the week.  Most of the time, you were playing Over Watch with baba and Anthony.  The entire week was SUPER cold (minus 20 to 40) so we stayed inside most of the time.  We also visited the Mall of America where you went on some rides and we had lunch at the Rainforest CafĂ© (your fav).

Santa came and you received a million toys.  Crossbow Nerf Shooter, Nerf shooters, Mermaid blanket, Legos, Legos and more Legos, Snowball maker, a ton of crafts, clothes, socks and books to name a few.

Next month, we will be celebrating your 7th birthday.  Love you Beni Berger!!
