Fifth grade graduation. The day has come. I am filled with emotions - happy, sad, joy, to say a few. You are also feeling lots of emotions. Happy because school is over. Sad because you love Excelsior. You've been at EE for six years of your eleven year life!! I still recall your first day of kindergarten. You had a Viking outfit on and one of the first kids was Andrew. He gave you a huge bear hug as you two were together at explorers over the summer. Fast forward five years and all of a sudden, you are graduating. All the Halloween parades, I was the mom that thought the 5th graders look huge and now you are one of them. We also went through 4th grade mainly with e-learning (ugh).
All the teachers were so emotional as they called each of your names. Their care and love for all of you really shows. Beni, I hope you continue to have fun at school, keep old friends and make new ones. I am so happy that you enjoyed Excelsior so much. It was a very deliberate choice that baba and I made to enroll you in Excelsior based on immersion and school ranking. The school does an amazing job on teaching but also building character - integrity and kindness.

I love you to the moon and back Beni Berger. I can't believe you are already 11. I love how you are a big little kid and have seen you grown so much. You care about your brother, have patience with him and always think about others feelings, including new friends in your circle. May you always stay true to yourself because you are perfect the way you are!!
