This spring, we went to Disneyland. You had an absolute blast. I think it was the best vacation ever for you. Yipao and Meibo met us there. Mumei and Andrew also came to see us just about every day! We flew in on Saturday and drove down to San Diego on Sunday to visit Sea World. You had breakfast with Shamu and also got to touch the dolphins. It was a great day and you bought Orkey home… a 48” killer whale. This created all sorts of chaos as he had to be a carry-on.
We spent three days at Disney. Day one: super early start as we arrived for the 7am magic hour opening. We went on all the rides in Fantasy land, Small World, Pirates, Buzz, Star Tours and many others. I didn’t realize how scary some of these fairy tale rides are! But you were a total trooper. At times, it seemed like you were more interested in buying toys than the rides. LOL. We went back to the hotel around 3 and took a nap, ate dinner. At night, we went back to Disney and went on the jungle ride and star tours. Yipao also came with us at night.
Day two: Adventure Park – I had a feeling this was going to be super exciting for you. We went right at opening and proceeded to the Frozen fast passes. You met with Elsa, which was super cute. You were really shy and quiet. Then we played in Olaf’s snow. Afterwards, we headed over to Radiator Springs. The look on your face was priceless. It was shock, surprise, excitement and happiness all wrapped together. You rubbed your eyes and face while saying, “What the heck?” We went on the mater ride and then headed over to the Cozy Cone. You took pictures with both Mater and Lightening. We also learned that you LOVE the chocolate dipped ice cream cone. It was really yummy. After going on the radiator spring race car ride, we had lunch at Flo’s V8 café. You were so happy and ate all of your lunch in the lightening lunch box. After a long day, we went back for a nap and returned later in the evening. Yipao was very excited as we ate dinner at Flo’s again. You went on a few rides in A Bug’s life, including the Chew Chew train.
Day three: None stop Star Tours. It was very clear that you LOVE Star Wars. I think you went on the Star Tours ride about 10-12 times in the three days we were at Disney. You were also a big fan of the corn dogs at Disney too.
After our three days, we enjoyed a nice day at Newport Beach. You had a fantastic time but was ready to go home and play with your toys. I was very happy we packed an extra piece of luggage. We bought about 10 cookies and assorted candy, Orkey, Darth Vader pillow, Mike pillow, Elsa/Anna doll, 3 light sabers, lightening blanket and crocs and many other small trinkets. You and baba had such a great time we are thinking of DisneyWorld soon!
